Our Philosophy

The philosophy of our school is based on the observations and writings of Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952), scientist, educator and the first woman to earn a medical degree in Italy. Our curriculum instructs children in language arts, math, interrelated study of life and physical sciences, history, culture, geography, the arts and practical life skills.

We have integrated Montessori methods and curriculum with traditional public and private school curricula. This “Academic Excellence” thrives in a warm, nurturing environment that promotes the self-esteem of each individual child. We advocate global diversity by studying all cultures, embracing and respecting the people in our modern world.

Our program embraces parent involvement and educates families, not just the individual children. This “Education for Life” continues beyond the time that families are within our school. We hope that the lasting values and skills serve you and your children and that you share this vision in your community and wherever you travel.

We practice this philosophy of “Education for Peace” in our professional and respectful manner with children, parents, and fellow staff. We work continually to refine our program in order to provide a timely and appropriate educational environment. Our diverse staff reflects our community.
